Emergence Borders & Matting:Matted Chica Leona 2 (Print Only)The idea behind the image was based on the mayfly. The mayfly is an aquatic insect with an extremely short lifespan. I chose to depict a humanoid mayfly ascending into adulthood. Her pose is based on the arched shape the mayfly makes with its body. I like to experiment with bold colours and so try to steer clear of using a realistic colour pallet. I believe this makes my artwork more interesting and fun to create.
