She is fascinated by the intersection of environmental, social, and economic issues, and has experience advancing environmental protection through conservation, policy, and consulting roles in the past. Skyler received a B.A. in Global Studies: Security and Justice and a minor in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia (UVA) and received her Master’s of Leadership & Public Policy from UVA’s Frank Batten School. While in school, Skyler studied topics including wildlife conservation, political ecology, economics, and sustainable development in Tanzania, Vietnam, and Ecuador.
