Glen is a former member of the British Royal Marines, with operational deployments in the Middle East. He later transitioned into private security, working as a close protection officer in London and as a security consultant on anti-piracy operations escorting vessels through high-risk areas across the Middle East and Africa.

He went on to focus on wildlife protection and has worked across South Africa, Namibia, Mozambique, Zambia, and Cameroon as a counter-poaching consultant, supporting efforts to combat wildlife crime.

At Grumeti Fund, his focus is on upskilling the Anti-Poaching Unit and increasing operational effectiveness to protect the Serengeti ecosystem.
