The Grumeti Fund is a non-profit organization working alongside the Tanzanian government to help conserve wildlife, restore ecosystems, and support neighboring communities in the western Serengeti.

Our mission is to ensure that people and nature thrive together, now and for generations to come.
To do this, we work in partnership with the Tanzanian government, neighboring communities, and key stakeholders to conserve the Serengeti ecosystem and advance effective, knowledge-driven conservation.
Our Path
The Grumeti concessions are nestled in the western corridor of the Serengeti.
At the turn of the century, wildlife numbers had fallen dramatically, and the land struggled under mounting pressure. Today, we look back on more than 20 years of protection, restoration, research, and community partnership to see a transformed landscape, set on a path where people and nature thrive together.
