Originally from the United States, Skyler’s passion for nature was shaped by her upbringing in South Carolina’s coastal Lowcountry. She holds a B.A. in Global Studies and a Master’s in Leadership and Public Policy from the University of Virginia. Her academic work brought her to study conservation, political ecology, economics, and sustainable development in Tanzania, Vietnam, and Ecuador, and her professional experience spans conservation, policy, and consulting.
